We first had to remove a wall between the kitchen and dining room to make room for a large island. We also had to remove an awkward angled wall in the kitchen so that we could maximize counter and cabinet space. We added height for more cabinet space by removing bulkheads which meant hiding lots of mechanical behind a cabinet crown moulding.
Many custom elements were added including: a new pantry with slide out coffee centre and a charging station. We added an appliance garage so the client could have her counters clean of small appliances. We included pullout corner shelving to access stored items.
We wrapped all of this gadgetry in her favourite colour; blue, which makes for a beautiful statement piece in the home.
